It served as a refuge for the Râșnov community until the 18th century and is a testament to the city's rich cultural heritage.

Situated in the Diham Mountains, on the edge of a wide clearing beneath Măgura Cenușie, Cabana Diham serves as an important tourist base. It offers an excellent place to rest (with 87 accommodation spots) and is also a starting point for numerous hikes in the surrounding area or toward the northern cliffs of the Bucegi Mountains. Located at an altitude of 1,320 meters, the cabin beneath Măgura Cenușie was established in 1934, on the site of cattle stables built in 1906. The initiative to build a shelter came from the German Ski Club of Bucharest, which had been operating in the area since 1932 and needed a resting place for skiers.

Travelers who step through the doors of this cabin will be greeted by Mama Oara, the caretaker here for 50 years—a truly unforgettable character who is sure to leave a lasting impression.

Nestled at an altitude of 1720 meters in Valea Mălăieşti, one of the most beautiful glacial valleys in Romania, this cabin is accessible via various marked trails. The most accessible route is from Râşnov, marked with a blue band, and takes approximately 2.5 hours to reach. It serves as a stopping point for tourist routes connecting Râşnov, Vf. Omu, Bran, and Buşteni.

Cabana Mălăieşti is the first cabin in Bucegi and one of the oldest in the Carpathian Mountains. The first building was inaugurated on July 29, 1882 by the SKV (Siebenbürgische Karpaten Verein). The current cabin was built in 1924 and expanded in 1938-1939. This exceptional tourist attraction is suitable for both children and adults, and is considered a natural monument. The cave boasts one of the most beautiful cave decorations in Europe, with a sequential lighting system and excellent acoustics. Experience the unforgettable sensation of life underground in complete silence and darkness as the lights are turned off for 1-2 minutes during the tour, allowing visitors to listen to the sound of dripping water. The cave is located on the western slope of the Postăvarul Massif at an altitude of 790m (main entrance).
